We took the ferry from Wharf 2 at the Circular Quay over to the Taronga Zoo.  Once there we got on a Gondola that went over the top of the zoo giving a great view of some of the animals.  Then spent the next few hours looking at all the birds and animals and having a super fun day.

Here's our ferry Charlotte that took us over to the zoo...

Here's a view of the elephants from the gondola high above...

Look closely at the extra pair of legs protruding from the Momma's belly.  It's a little joey...

This is a Bongo from Africa, part of the reindeer family.  OK, he's not really Australian - but we couldn't resist including him in here - his patterning was gorgeous.

Look at the coloring of these beautiful radiant Sun Conures...

Check out this adorable picture of the mother chimpanze cuddling her four year old...

The movie that follows is the little one at play..

We saw so many wonderful birds at the zoo too - here are a few...
This is the Superb Fruit Dove - and it certainly was!...

Here's a Noisy Pitta.  It seemed pretty quiet when we saw it...

Sorry we didn't get the exact name of this lovely kingfisher...

And if the stork is ever busy delivering babies, it sure looks like these pelicans could step in and lend a hand - or a beak rather
